Chapter 2: Beach Breakfast

As you wake up, you can hear the gently crunch of waves hitting the shore. Your curtains flutter lightly from the salty breeze coming through the open window. Your senses slowly awaken.

The Beach Breakfast candle was created with my childhood in mind. Lighting the Beach Breakfast candle hits me with the smell of nostalgia. Waking up on a Sunday morning to the scent of salt summer air wafting through the open window. The kind of smell you can only get when waking up right on the coast.

Breakfast time means fresh Saville oranges being pressed in the kitchen by my mother. My father doing laundry downstairs. The whole house smelled fresh and clean.

It’s the kind of smell that makes you want to get up and going. I’d run to the shower where we hung fresh eucalyptus over the shower head. The best way to get a real spa-like shower experience, and I still do it today.
